Senior Credit and Convertible Bonds Analyst
Role Overview
We have partnered with a leading global asset manager looking to hire a Senior Credit & Convertible Bonds Analyst to join their Global Fixed Income team in London.
This is a high-impact, desk-based role sitting directly with Portfolio Managers, where you will contribute to investment decisions, trade ideas, and P&L across a range of funds. It is a genuinely hands-on seat with real responsibility from day one.
The platform is an independent, award-winning franchise with a long track record of strong performance and continued AUM growth, supported by consistent inflows and expanding institutional demand. The fixed income business represents a significant portion of firm-wide assets and has delivered particularly strong results across investment grade, high yield, strategic income, and convertible bond strategies.
The core of the role is credit analysis, with a clear tilt towards BB-rated high yield and crossover credit, alongside some investment grade exposure. In addition, the role includes coverage of the firm’s convertible bond strategies, working closely with the investment team based in France. This is not an equities role, but requires an understanding of equity upside and optionality within convertible structures.
You will contribute across multiple flagship funds within the team, gaining broad exposure across strategies and geographies while operating in a collaborative, high-performing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct bottom-up fundamental credit analysis across BB-rated high yield and investment grade issuers, with a focus on crossover credit
- Cover convertible bond issuers, incorporating equity upside analysis and optionality into investment views
- Build and maintain detailed financial models across both credit and equity frameworks
- Cover approximately 50+ companies across multiple funds, including high yield, investment grade, strategic income, and convertible bond strategies
- Generate trade ideas and relative value opportunities across the capital structure
- Contribute directly to P&L through idea generation, conviction, and implementation
- Provide input on position sizing alongside Portfolio Managers
- Expand coverage within the BB-rated high yield universe
- Participate in investment committees, presenting both credit and equity perspectives
- Monitor news flow and provide timely updates on portfolio positions
- Work closely with international colleagues, particularly the France-based convertible bond team
- Support client discussions and articulate investment views where required
