Role Overview
As a Senior Rates Sales Specialist, you will play a key role in Silvertide`s continued expansion, focusing on cultivating relationships with hedge fund portfolio managers and providing actionable, quant-driven trade ideas. Your role will cover OTC interest rate derivatives, swaps, and listed futures, leveraging Silvertide`s proprietary platform to enhance client engagement and optimise trade outcomes.
In addition to driving revenue, you will also provide mentorship to junior team members, fostering their development and contributing to Silvertide`s collaborative and high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and maintain relationships with portfolio managers at interest rate and macro-focused hedge funds, leveraging existing connections and developing new client opportunities
• Generate and present data-backed trade ideas using Silvertide`s proprietary platform
• Execute with precision across OTC interest rate derivatives, swaps, and listed futures
• Drive revenue growth through tailored, client-focused solutions
• Train and mentor junior associates, supporting their professional growth
• Collaborate with execution traders, technology teams, and senior leadership to align client strategies with business objectives
• Stay informed on global rates markets and regulatory environments to provide informed recommendations
Requirements
• Proven brokerage experience in interest rate derivatives, with a focus on swaps and futures (options experience a bonus but not required)
• An existing book of clients you can bring and trade with immediately
• Strong relationships within the hedge fund and macro community
• Entrepreneurial mindset - hungry, motivated and client-focused
• Comfortable with a performance-driven, fast-paced environment
Compensation
• Highly competitive formulaic revenue-based model
• High earning potential with payouts based on revenue minus trading costs, platform expenses, and operational overhead
• Paid twice yearly (April and October), with flexibility for new joiners
• Equity eligibility for top performers
