Director, Investor Relations
Role Overview:
Our client, a fast-growing alternative investment manager, is looking to hire a Senior Investor Relations Professional to work closely with their institutional client base, while also representing the firm at major industry conferences and playing a key role in growing the firm`s assets.
This individual will take charge of all investor queries, particularly in relation to both public and private markets, including projects involving secondaries. The ideal candidate will have a polished presence, strong communication skills, and experience working with institutional investors in both public and private markets. This role is high priority for the firm and offers the unique opportunity to build out the Investor Relations division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for institutional investors, providing timely updates on the firm`s investments and performance
- Represent the firm at conferences and industry events, delivering presentations and engaging with stakeholders to reinforce market positioning
- Manage investor queries related to key projects, such as bond issuances, ensuring clear and polished communication about company activities
- Build and lead the Investor Relations team, eventually expanding the function to include coverage of private wealth clients and junior hires
- Collaborate with the CEO and senior leadership to develop and execute the firm’s investor relations strategy
- Maintain and nurture relationships with existing institutional investors, while proactively engaging potential new investors
- Deliver regular updates to investors over a 6-month cycle, ensuring they remain informed about the firm`s ongoing activities and strategies
- Ensure a thorough understanding of both public and private markets, including secondaries, to respond effectively to investor questions
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Investor Relations, preferably with a background in private markets and exposure to both public and private asset classes
- Demonstrated ability to engage with institutional investors, with a strong preference for candidates from London or Europe
- Experience with secondaries and handling bond-related investor queries
- A polished, professional demeanour with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with investor landscapes, particularly in institutional investment management (not private wealth)
- Experience building and leading a team, with a focus on both institutional and private wealth coverage
- Ability to travel regularly between Dubai, London, and other key European markets as required
